Bye bye 2014 !

2014 has been a good running year. Maybe with less workouts but with higher quality and  with more trail running workouts for volume training. Additionally, the 2kg of lost of weigth has help. No remarkable injuries. The figures of the year are:

Training workouts:

Total time: 75h 25min.
Distance: 862 km
Average pace: 5'15'' mkm

This is 3 hours and 12Km less than last year. By cons, addtional 85km trail workouts performed along the year, of course, appart from the trail races.

1/2 Marathon Cambrils (2/3/14) : 1h 49' 15''
10K Cursa Solidària contra Càncer Infantil - El Morell (21/9/14) : 43'59'' + 1' (PB)
Milla urbana Cursa de la Solidaritat - Cambrils (31/8/14) : 4'36''
1/2 Marathon Tarragona (30/11/14): 1h 43' 28''
1/2 Marathon Salou (14/12/14): 1h 37' 45'' + 2'  (PB)

Best personal results ever achieved during the second half of the year.


Trail races:

52,5Km Marxa Riudoms- La Mola (27/4/14): 8h 18' (PB)
47Km Travessa Nocturna Fredes-Paüls (14/6/14): 9h 23'
37km Caminada Muntanyes de Prades - Alforja (5/10/14) : 7h 14'

Despite the good cronos obtained in the three trail races, I miss a longer (~60km) or harder one. This is one of the targets for next year.




From the targets for past 2014, almost all of them has been achieved: beat the 1h40' barrier in 1/2 Marathon. faster amb with more trail training workouts. Pending subject is to reach the 5 trail races per year or  300km in trail racing. Important to start putting one eye on Marathon distance, as half marathon is starting to become a crono-managed race with no further excitement.
